A study on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s family trees revealed these lovebirds are actually cousins.

Although they have grown on different Atlantic shores, the study shows the very distant cousins were separated by their common ancestors from the 15^th century, writes metro.co.uk.

Meghan Markle’s father, cinematographer Thomas Markle, has an English ancestor named Ralph Bowes.

Ralph Bowes was a law enforcement magistrate in Durham County, the United Kingdom, and lived between 1480 and 1518.

His possessions were inherited after several future generations at George Bowes, a politician related to Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon.

Elisabeth Bowes-Lyon was the wife of King George VI of the United Kingdom and Elizabeth II’s mother, who was to become Queen in 1952 until now.

Queen Elizabeth II became Harry’s grandmother in 1984.

The study reveals that a part of Meghan Markle’s ancestors from his father crossed the Atlantic Ocean in 1632.

Markle and Harry, who have a 14-month relationship, intend to announce that they are getting married and looking for an apartment in London.

Recently, actress Meghan Markle decided to quit the “Suits” series after she and Prince Harry allegedly became engaged in August with Prince Harry, according to Spanish newspaper ABC.
