Kim Jong-un’s older brother was carrying $100.000 worth of cash in his backpack when he was assassinated at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the police officer in charge of the investigation Wan Azirul Nizam has revealed on Wednesday.

Indonesian Siti Aishah (25) and Vietnamese Doan Thi Huong (28) are accused of killing Kim Jong-Nam after they injected him with an extremely toxic chemical banned in the US in the middle of the Kuala Lumpur airport on February 13th.

The incredible amount of money is currently in the possession of the Sepang District police bureau, which has jurisdiction over the crime scene, explained Wan Azirul Nizam.

He also mentioned the Kuala Lumpur police also confiscated the victim’s overcoat, backpack, and watch.

The objects were handed over to the experts who conducted the chemical analysis, although the investigators were subsequently urged to return the items to representatives of the North Korean embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

“I do not know why this order was given to me, but I followed it”, added Wan Azirul Nizam.

Aishah and Doan Thi Huong, accused of killing Kim Jong-Nam, risk the death penalty if they are found guilty.

The defendants repeatedly declared that they were tricked into committing the attack and they thought this was all a television joke. Both women pleaded as innocent on 2nd October, during the first trial.

Also on Wednesday, a video was released in which Doan Thi Huong appeared spreading a substance on a stranger’s face in what looks like a training, two days before the awkward crime.

The images show how quickly the Vietnamese approaches a man and covers her face with both wet hands before running.
