The North Korean’s dictator ex-girlfriend, Hyon Song-wol, received a ‘promotion’ inside the hierarchy

Hyon Song-wol became a substitute member of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party, the political engine of the North Korean regime, reports the South Korean news agency Yonhap.

In the past, it was rumored that Hyon Song-wol would have been executed on Kim Jong-un’s order after the dictator had discovered that the young artist played in an adult movie.

Besides the political concerns, Hyon is also engaged in music: she is the star and lead singer of the Moranbong pop band.

So far, there is no clear information suggesting an amorous link between Kim Jong-un and Hyon Song-wol, because the North Korean leader is known for his extreme discretion when it comes to his private life.

Hyon’s appointment comes shortly after Kim Jong-s’s sister, Kim Yo-jong was assigned on an important position in the narrow circle of the Workers’ Party.

Kim Yo-jong officially became the second most influential woman in North Korea after the wife of the leader of Pyongyang, North Korea’s First Lady Ri Sol-ju.

Yo-jong is four years younger than her brother and she was rarely seen in public.

In 2010, the singer appeared in a picture taken at a conference of the Workers’ Party.

A year later, the young woman would become an ordinary presence in her father’s entourage, the former dictator Kim Jong-il.

But it was only in March 2014 that Yo-jong was mentioned in a press releases of the North Korean state agency.

Moreover, in the same year, it was rumored that, amid the health problems that prompted Kim Jong-un to withdraw, Kim Yo-jong administrated the state during the prolonged absence of her older brother.
