Russia suspends some of its economic, scientific and commercial ties with North Korea, according to a set of restrictions imposed by the UN, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Vladimir Putin revealed the decision on the state’s legal portal, which pretty consists in suspending a series of economic, scientific and technical relations with Pyongyang, as the sanctions imposed by the UN Security Council has imposed in November 2016.

Russia and China are currently supporting the UN, who believes that by approaching this strategy, North Korea will no longer benefit from the financial support required to conduct the nuclear and ballistic programs.

However, Moscow pointed out this strategy must be adopted without affecting the ordinary people from North Korea.

Moscow and Beijing have also proposed negotiating a suspension of North Korean nuclear and ballistic programs in exchange for a suspension of US-South Korean military annual maneuvers.

It is a total ban on EU investments in North Korea, especially in the refined petroleum and oil industry.

The EU also agreed to reduce the amount of money someone can send to North Korea from 15.000 to 5.000, considering these “personal” transfers are being cashed by the Pyongyang government.

Other governments also decided not to renew the work permits for North Korean immigrants working in their territories, except for refugees and other people who need international protection.
