As “Fast & Furious” seems to never end, Michelle Rodriguez decided to add some “spice”

The franchise is a global success, but actors such as Vin Diesel (Dom Toretto), Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (Luke Hobbs) or Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw) benefit from huge roles, while the women who appear on the big screens are almost invisible.

Charlize Theron was introduced to Fast & Furious 8 as Big Bad, but Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto) did not get any role after the tragic death of Paul Walker, and Nathalie Emmanuel (Ramsey) was pretty marginalized by the producers as well.

Elsa Pataky, who played Elena Neves, existed only to complete Don’s story, while Helen Mirren had a cameo like Deckard and Owen Shaw’s mother.

Rodriguez, the actress who plays Letty Ortiz in the series, said she wanted women to take on more important roles in the 9th part of the movie.

Fast & Furious 8 has generated more than 1.2 billion in box office profit, and two more films will be released, so producers should learn the lesson and give more attention to women.
