Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy announced he will lift Catalonia’s autonomy, dismantling the regional government and hindering some of the Catalan parliament’s rights.

The separatist parties in Catalonia will meet to set up a plan of action

Catalan separatist president Carles Puigdemont said on Saturday evening the Spanish government unlawfully proclaimed a Catalan representative, saying Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy launched a direct attack towards Catalonia’s institutions.

Puigdemont announced he would ask for a meeting to the Parliament members, in order to discuss the Government’s “intention” to “abolish” the Catalan government and act accordingly.

Carles Puigdemont said that all proposals to conduct a dialogue with the central government encountered the same answer: “silence and repression.”

“What the Catalans have decided at the polls, the government canceled in the offices, it is the ugliest attack since the dictator Francisco Franco, the Spanish government was proclaimed illegitimately as a representative of the Catalans, with the support of the PSOE and the Ciudadanos Party)”, revealed the leader of Catalonia.
