Even the royals are using cute nicknames when they want to showcase their affection towards their family members.

Believe or not, even Her Majesty has such a nickname and the story behind it it’s just the cutest.

Apparently, one day when Prince William and his younger brother were playing in the gardens of the palace, Will fell and got hurt.

While he has lying on the ground, he was screaming his lungs out: ‘Gary, Gary!’

Scared, the royal guards rushed to help prince while they we’re wondering who is this ‘Gary’.

Most of them were convinced ‘Gary’ is an employee but the Queen’s intervention cleared everything up.

Apparently, Will was too small to pronounce ‘granny’ so the Queen remained stuck with ‘Gary’.

‘It’s ok, he wants to say <<granny>> but he can’t pronounce the word’, affirmed Her Majesty at that time.

Meanwhile, Prince William turned into the most handsome Duke, who welcomed two beautiful children.

One of them is Prince George, who came up with a new nickname for his great grandmother.

According to some sources from the palace, little George nicknamed Queen Elizabeth ‘Gan Gan’.

‘George is only 2-and-a-half, he calls her Gan Gan. She always leaves a little gift or something in their room when we go and stay, and that just shows I think her love for her family’, revealed the Duchess of Cambridge during an interview.
