The images captured in Aleppo during the truck bomb from Saturday became viral
According to CNN, nearly 126 people died after the bomb was triggered near the humanitarian convoy which transported the victims.
Photographer Abd Alkader Habak was in the area taking shots when the truck exploded.
During the impact, he was thrown a few meters away. When he woke up from the dizziness and realized what happened, he left the camera and hurried to help the survivors.
‘The scene was horrifying, especially because there were also children who died or agonizing. I and my colleagues decided to help the wounded’, declared the photographer for CNN.
The first child that he ran towards to was already dead. He ran to the next victim, but someone warned him to stay away because he is also dead.
Fortunately for the child, the photographer failed to take his advice and took the child to a safe zone.
‘He was holding me so tight and he was looking at me’, added the artist.
One of his colleagues witnessed the entire scene and captured the unique moments.
Habak told the CNN reporters that he transported the kid to an ambulance and returned to the scene to help more victims.
‘I was overwhelmed by emotions. I cannot describe in words the things I and my colleagues experienced back there’, revealed the man.
On Youtube, the video with Habak running towards the ambulance while he is carrying the wounded child is just heartbreaking.
