The prices when it comes to food in UK reported a worrying advance since March

The Brexit, the fall of the sterling pound and the inflation influenced the food prices in the kingdom.

‘Although the food prices from stores rose even more in March, the growth is 1% and totally reflects the intense competition between producers. The limited growth is even more impressive considering the depreciation of the sterling pound’, declared the director of the British Retail Consortium Helen Dickinson for The Independent.

The producers from the food industry and the restaurant were forced to raise the prices because the sterling pound is constantly collapsing, which makes the import even more expensive.

Furthermore, this year the internal crops were destroyed by the bad weather and industrial quantities of vegetables ended up in trash cans.

According to some data published by the British Statistics, the price of a salad grew by 67,2% between January and February and the tomatoes marked up from £2.05 per kg to £2.20 in less than two months.

The ascension will not stop here, revealed the experts.

The price of fruits and veggies in Great Britain will grow by 5-8 after Britain’s decision to leave EU because there are no other ways to import and the internal production will never cope with the expectations.

Last month, the officials from Mars warned the British government the price for their signature product will mark up.
