Prime Minister Theresa May is taking her plans after Brexit to the Middle East, where she wants to make sure that she puts the bases of a bright future.

Her trip starts today and she has the main purpose getting the support from the Middle East.

Just a few days after Article 50 was triggered, Mrs. May wants the whole world to know, especially the European Union, that she is keen on starting to end trade deals with states all over the globe as soon as possible. It looks like her first deal will likely come from the Middle East.

Trade is extremely important for the UK now after leaving the single market. Mrs. May considers that this is the most important thing about Brexit.

The British Prime Ministers wants a trade deal with Europe as well, but leaders already told her that they are not going to discuss about a new deal until she  signs the bill that finally sets the departure between the two.

When all the negotiations are over in 2019, then they will start talking about a trade deal.

May’s first stop will be in Jordan today. But she is not the only one that takes an official visit, several British ministers will visit these days some states, including India and Asian countries.

After Jordan, the PM is going to spend a couple of days in Saudi Arabia. The UK already has some strong connections with these two states, but the PM plans to strengthen them.

Saudi Arabia is the most important trading partner they have, so now they need its support more than ever.
