After months of delays, the AC Milan club was sold to a Chinese group known as Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux

The transaction was finalized on Thursday, two days ahead of the Derby Della Madonnina, behind closed doors.

The news was confirmed by Fininvest, who announced Silvio Berlusconi received the rest of the money last week.

‘Today, Fininvest finalized the transaction with Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux by offering 99. 93% of the shares of the AC Milan club’, mentioned the company in a press statement.

After the Chinese delivered the rest of the money on Thursday, the agreement was signed by the manager of Fininvest Danilo Pellegrino and by the spokesperson of Rossoneri Han Li.

The match set to take place on Sunday, a day before Easter, will mark the first derby under a new leading board.

Silvio Berlusconi acquired AC Milan in 1986 and the incredible transaction was worth 740 million euros.

The team was supposed to become the property of the Chinese group last year, but the buyers encountered some financial issues.

In the end, after numerous delays, the Chinese managed to deliver the last edge of the staggering amount and acquire the club.
