The scandal in Mel B’s family is getting worse as days goes by

Besides that fact that Stephen Belafonte assaulted the singer in numerous times and forced her to take part in sexual orgies, apparently Scary Spice’s estranged husband forbade the singer to visit her ill father.

According to Daily Mail, Martin Brown was on his deathbed after he lost a devastating fight with cancer when the American producer ‘confiscated’ her passport.

After he afflicted Mel for weeks, the former Spice girl finally managed to recover her documents and travel to UK.

According to the divorce papers released by media last week, Stephen told Mel B ‘she’s not going anywhere’, replied Belafonte.

During the short stay in Great Britain, Mel B took advantage of the occasion to make-up with her estranged sister, Danielle.

The two siblings were not talking to each other for years, because Stephen took care of ruining that special bond as well.

As reported by the British tabloid, Martin Brown’s death represented a turning for Mel B.

Shortly after she suffered the loss, the singer realized that she is involved in a toxic marriage and she can’t deal with Stephen anymore.

Sources close to the couple claim Mel wanted to file for divorce months ago, but ‘something was constantly drawing her back’.

‘It was very sad because she simply didn’t have the strength to leave,’ a close friend revealed for The Sun.
