 At a first glance, the object looks like a regular clothes hanger

However, if you take a closer look, you will notice the object is, in fact, equipped with a hidden surveillance camera, meant to film strangers while they are taking their clothes off.

The American authorities initiated a national campaign meant to warn the population

They are advising everyone who notices an irregularity in public toilets or dressing rooms to call the police as soon as possible.

The clothes hanger spy cam can be acquired online by anyone and costs less than $25

According to the police, the objects are equipped with minuscule surveillance cameras which immortalize every single move through a tiny hole placed on the upper side of the hanger.

Last year, the Florida police department revealed the detection of three such devices in different public restrooms.

‘Shop and restaurant owners must check their toilets and dressing rooms. If you discover such devices, don’t touch them and call us immediately’, declared the sheriff of Florida Keys.

Apparently, the most targeted places by criminals and psychopaths are dressing rooms, hotel rooms, and public restrooms reported NBC.

All they have to do is to insert a micro SD card into these hangers and, for two hours, the camera will capture everything and everyone.

The battery has a life of two hours.
