Both salt and sugar are bad for our health. But, which one of them is actually the worse?

Doctors advise us to eat everything in moderation, but when it comes to these two, we really don’t know what to do. The body needs them in a certain measure. But, when they are consumed in excess, they can create a wide range of illnesses.

We will start with salt. Our body needs it for regulating fluids. Researchers still haven’t found how it really affects. If consumed in moderation, it is beneficial, but if we exaggerate with it, the health issues it leads to are going to stick for a while.

Some think that sodium leads to increased blood pressure, while some think that this is not true. The opinions are still in contradiction. If it does affect, then the high blood pressure can lead to a variety of illnesses: heart attack, kidney failure.

According to researchers, salt is good for the body in moderation, but some, who are more sensible to it, should be careful with it.

When it come to sugar, scientists don’t like the refined ones. The natural sugars can be beneficial for the body and full of nutrients. On the other hand, sodas, sweet snacks, don’t have any nutrients or vitamins. If these products are eaten in excess, obesity can occur.

The majority of refined sugars create insulin. As you eat more of this, the insulin will store fat as it becomes resistant.

In time, this can lead to heart related disease, kidney failure, obesity and diabetes.

According to experts, from the both, sugar is more dangerous as it has a much larger impact.

What they advise is to do is try to consume them with moderation. Try to consume fruits, milk and whole grains and stay away from refined sugars and processed food.
