Muhammad Ali"s son, detained at airport amidst Trump"s measures

Muhammad Ali’s son was the victim of the extreme measures that are being taken at the airports since Trump implemented the immigration ban.

According to reports, he was detained at Fort Lauderdale airport at the beginning of this month. Muhammad Ali Jr. was held at the airport for a few hours. He wasn’t by himself, but with his family. They were just returning from a trip in Jamaica on February seventh.

His attorney responded and said that it is outrageous. He thinks that it is clear that Trump’s measure is taken against a certain religion. This is not the way the country is, judging by religion.

After Ali Jr. and his realtives were held there, they were allowed to enter. They had to be questioned before leaving.

His mother, Khlaliha, was with him. His mother didn’t have to go through questioning as she showed the officers pictures of her and her former husband, the late Muhammad Ali. In Jamaica, the mother and her son gave a speech about Black history.

Ali Jr. did have a passport for the United States, but he was still detained. Some of the questions were about his religion.

His attorney said that they might sue the government. Ali was the victim of discrimination.

Such things are still taking place in airports across the US. Although a judge blocked Trump’s order, measures are still harsh.

This week, passengers traveling from San Francisco to New York were asked for identification when they landed.

Everyone is tired of this measure and wants for it to stop, but Trump has no such thoughts.
