A giant and funny-looking creature was brought on a shore in Philippine, after the massive earthquake from last week.

‘The giant and hairy beast’ surfaced on the Cagdainao beach on the Dinagat Island, shocking the locals, who rushed to take pictures.

After some of them published the images on social media, the netizens initiated the sharpest debate.

Most of them rushed to come up with the strangest theories about the beast’s origin.

Some of them suggested this is a hairy whale, while others come up with the theory the beast is, in fact, a polar bear.

There were users who claimed the ‘thing’ is actually a hybrid between a whale and a polar bear or a giant Shih Tzu.

Others demonstrated their imagination is limitless and said this is a German shepherd.

For weeks, the subject sparked endless debates and discussions and some of them are still going.

Meanwhile, the mystery was elucidated: the ‘beast’ is, in fact, a whale, which died after it was struck by a fishing boat.

However, the local press has no idea what’s with the ‘fur’ that covers the body.

Some locals claim the ‘beast’ is quite similar to a fictional creature half polar bear and half-whale, that surfaced in 1924 in South Africa.

The creature was nicknamed ‘Trunko’.

The remains of the whale, that weigh around 2.000 kilograms, became white due to its advanced stage of degradation.
