Regarding the Miss USA competition, Halima wanted to go there and represent her people. She hasn’t seen women wore hijabs in such occasions and she wanted to do it. She also wanted to meet young women and thought this would be a great opportunity.
Aden wants everyone to feel comfortable no matter how they look and what they wear.
Iman, who is a Somali herself, opened up about bring criticized for who she is. She has received critiques for many things in her life, starting from why she doesn’t wear a hijab, to why she married a White man. Iman was married with late David Bowie.
