Yesterday, the president announced that he won’t be attending the White House Correspondence Dinner . His decision is controversial as he is the first president to refuse to attend in 36 years.
However, actor Zach Braff came up with an epic idea. He thinks that Trump’s impersonator, Alec Baldwin, should replace him at the event.
The actor expressed his idea on Twitter. He wrote that it’s time for Baldwin to ‘suit up’.
When giving the news, Trump wished everyone a great evening.
The event will take place in April. Presidents need to attend it. Barack Obama attended all of them during his presidency.
Braff’s idea is great. Alec Baldwin and his impersonation have took the internet by storm. People really like his skits.
The actor does such a good impersonation that some even got him mixed up with president. For example, a newspaper from the Dominican Republic posted a picture of Baldwin while impersonating Trump in an article about the US president.
The reason why Trump refuses to attend the dinner is his conflict with the media. The night will be everything about the interaction between the president and journalists. There are moments when journalists would poke fun at him, thing which he does not like.
The last president to miss the event is Ronald Reagan. In 1981 he missed it because he was recovering.
Since Braff made his idea known, the netizens spread the word and are really keen on making this happen. It would definitely be interesting to see this happen and Trump would definitely go mad.
