Deron Williams signs with Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers just brought a new member to their team. Devon Williams is the newest addition.


The manager of the team made the announcement yesterday. Williams will have number 31 on his jersey.


Prior to this, he played for the Dallas Mavericks. He had a pretty good season. He played in forty games in total this season. He has an average of 13.2 points.


For Williams, this is the twelfth season in NBA. Along his career, he made appearances in 821 games. He played for New Jersey amongst others.


Williams has been three times the NBA All-star. He has been for three years in a row starting 2011.


At the Olympics in Beijing in 2008, he won a gold medal for his contribution in the United States’ team.


Four years later, at the Olympics held in London, he won another gold medal as part of the same team.


In the season from 2007 and 2008, he made history. He was one of the three player to have 1500 points and eight hundred assists while shooting. He joined Magic and Kevin Johnson on the record list.


Williams took the decision to join the team on Saturday. He initially wanted to join another club, but changed his mind.


With such an impressive career and so much experience, Williams will definitely do good at the Cavaliers. The change will also be beneficial for him.


The Cavaliers already have an impressive line-up. They are also thinking about adding Andrew Bogut.
