Senator Bernie Sanders trolled the president again. This time, it was over the crowds that attended his inauguration, which seems to be everything Donald Trump cares about.
When it comes to the events he hosts, Trump always points to the ‘huge crowds’. On his Twitter account, the president wrote that his supporters should have their own rally, as they are millions. He thinks that he has more supporters than protesters.
Immediately after he tweeted this, Sanders made sure to clap back at him. He simply wrote “They didn’t. It wasn’t.”
With his great comeback, he also posted a picture of a comparison between the crowd at Trump’s inauguration and the one at Obama’s from 2009.
The president also claims that he had the biggest crowd a president ever had at his inauguration on January 20th. But, by far, Barack Obama had a much bigger crowd in 2009.
As he believes this, Trump even bashed the media, which gave the wrong numbers. He made sure to say this right the next day. He said that he saw a million and a half people in front of him as he delivered the speech, but the media only showed an empty field.
Trump is not the only one that likes to brag about the huge crowds, but Sean Spicer too. The Press Secretary declared that president Trump had the biggest inauguration crowd ever. He said that media showed the crowd was smaller just to minimize the support that Trump got, which was enormous.
