Trump responds to the Oscars: ‘you focused so hard on me that you mixed up the winners’

The Oscars contained a lot of political statements and funny remarks about the president. Of course, this didn’t go unnoticed by Donald Trump himself, who responded the following day.

The president declared to Breitbart that the ceremony focused so hard on him, that at the end they couldn’t keep it together. That’s why the infamous confusion happened.

He adds that it was sad to watch and all of this took away the glamour that would in the past characterize the Oscars.

Trump has been to the Oscars in the past and experienced the glamour, but this time it wasn’t present.

He thinks of the end, which was sad for him. The two presenters mixed up the winners for Best Picture. The whole cast of “La La Land” resurfaced on the scene, only to find out that they aren’t actually the winners.

‘Moonlight’ brought home the trophy.

Trump must have watched the ceremony the next day as on Sunday night he was busy. Him and the First Lady hosted a dinner at the White House.

The president held a speech and didn’t forget to praise his time in office and the many achievements he made.

During the Oscars, many jokes were made about him. The host, Jimmy Kimmel, promised in advance that he would mock him. He even wrote on Twitter: “are you up?” and tagged him.

Trump’s eldest son also made a remark about the ceremony on his Twitter. He called the mistake interesting and Hollywood insensitive.
