Yesterday, Rihanna received a huge honor from the Harvard University. All of her work in charities has been celebrated.
The Barbadian beauty gave a heartfelt and inspiring speech.
She founded several charities and contributed a lot. One of her favorite cause is helping her native place, Barbados.
The ceremony took place yesterday.
Of course, Rihanna started with a little joke: “I made it to Harvard”. She flipped her hair and then added that she would never thought she would say this, but it felt good, indeed.
She recalled the time she first had the urge to help others. Ever since she was young, she wanted to help others. She would watch TV and see how just a quarter could mean so much to save someone’s life.
Ever since then, she had dreams of saving Africa. So, she made a goal for later in life: get rich and save all the kids.
She made it. She never thought she would have this chance, but here she is now.
The singer talked about all the organizations she collaborated with.
She had a message for the students. She urged them to join her and make contributions for saving lives. All they have to do is just be for a moment selfless. Just a little amount of money or just a simple gesture can help save someone’s life.
Rihanna says that she learned that you don’t have to be rich or famous to help or become a humanitarian. You can start small, but what matters is to just do anything.
Rihanna is not only an amazing artist, but a remarkable person with a huge heart.
