Gigi Hadid marks another milestone in her career. The model appears on the very first cover of Vogue Arabia. This is also her 21st cover for Vogue.

Vogue Arabia first launched online last year. Now, the magazine is out on the market. What a better way to launch a magazine then by having the model of the moment on the cover?

The gorgeous model wears a bedazzled hijab and a smokey eye on the breathtaking cover. What’s even more important about this cover is the fact that Gigi actually has Palestinian roots.

The 21-year-old is proud of her heritage and has opened up about it.

The magazine is both in English and in Arab.

With its first cover, the magazine chose to make a strong political statement. It’s no coincidence that they chose a model who is both American and Muslim. They wanted to transmit that Muslims are exactly like everyone else and not as others have already labeled them.

Of course, this cover sparked some controversy. Some people disapprove of having an American on the cover and think they should have chosen an Arab model. They also argue that she should not have worn a hijab.

However, some are not aware of Hadid’s roots.

Deena Adbulaziz Al-Saud is the editor of the magazine. She owns several clothing magazines across the country and, in comparison with the rest of the women in her state, she does not cover her face. Deena is also married to a prince and has children, but that didn’t stop her passion for fashion.

She is a fresh and unique face in her country and completely breaks the boundaries.

Al-Saud is a fashion guru, who has lived in New York and attended major fashion shows. She will definitely do a great work at the magazine.

The issue will be out this month.
