Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed he will not return to the “Celebrity Apprentice” for a new season.
The actor released an official statement to deliver the news and explain his decision.
Although he liked working with NBC and with the producer, he cannot continue as the show has such a ‘baggage’.
This is definitely about Donald Trump, who hosted the series before him a few years ago. The two had a little bit of a feud going on.
The series returned in January and the audience numbers were not really satisfying.
NBC still hasn’t responded to Arnold’s decision.
After the new show received such a small audience rate, Trump mocked their ratings and Arnold. This happened at an official event. Trump told everyone to pray for Schwarzenegger.
The former Governor of California responded. He said that they should switch jobs, everyone would be satisfied. Trump does good with the ratings, while Arnold as a president would let people sleep peacefully again.
As the ratings have been really low and with Arnold’s departure, the show won’t likely be renewed for another season.
Trump hosted the show for six years. He left it in 2014 and remained a producer.
In an interview with “Empire”, the actor said that he likes the show and received positive feedback on it. But Trump’s name is what really made him quit.
He thinks that Trump is the one who pushed the spectators away. They stopped getting involved when learning about his contribution. So, Trump might be a reason for the low ratings as well.
