Guam has 14 minutes left to activate the alert system and adopt the required countermeasures if the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK – North Korea) decides to launch a missile towards the Pacific island, writes Xinhua.

Jenna Gaminde, a spokeswoman for GNS, revealed the residents would be immediately alerted by the sirens in the event of any additional risk.

“Our office will be informed by the military and they will use all means of mass communication to send the message to the public”, Gaminde has revealed adding that people should closely pursue any local media update to find out more information.

According to the quoted newspaper, the military units on the island are currently continuing the training as a precautionary measure to North Korea’s threats.

According to the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance (MDAA), a non-governmental organization will obtain public support for the US missile defense systems and the island is protected covered by an anti-missile shield, including the THAAD system and the AN / TPY- 2.

Pyongyang announced this week its plans of launching a missile attack on Guam after the nuclear device will be completed in mid-August.

According to the North Korean government, the faith of that missile will be decided by their Supreme Leader.

North Korea’s plan to attack Guam follows President Trump’s most recent statements.

According to Donald Trump, if Pyongyang continues to threaten the US, they will face a wave of “fire and rage” as the world has never seen until now.
