A group of hackers operating under the Mr. Smith pseudonym sent an e-mail to the American network in which they demand millions of dollars of redemption in order to not leak the script

The stolen data includes the scenarios from five different episodes, including one from an episode that has not yet been broadcasted yet, notes The Telegraph.

Hackers sent an email to Leslie Cohen, HBO’s vice president which included a black & white video and they urge HBO to make the payment in bitcoins.

The amount is the producers’ salaries for the following six months, which pretty much represent six million dollars.

In the email, the hacking group attached the documents that revealed they really stole the data and HBO will suffer the consequences if they refuse to follow the rules.

A few days ago, an episode set to be released on August 6 was leaked on the internet two days ago due to a different group of hackers.

This is not HBO’s first rodeo when it comes to hackers. In 2015, a group of cyber bullies stole the first four episodes of the fifth season, way before their official launch.
