Cycling shorts: the hottest fashion trend of the hour

Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Katy Perry are just a few of the stars who have tried to re-adapt one of the most controversial trends of the 1980’s: the cycling shorts.

While the opinions are mixed when it comes to the attempts of celebrities to include sportswear back in our everyday outfit, designers have confirmed cycling pants are, in fact, the hottest summer trend.

This is not exactly surprising, considering that the “athleisure” trend has managed the cross the barrier of trend-experiment with success and now it’s everywhere.

MSGM and Alexander Wang also included this clothing item into their 2017 spring-summer collections.

While MSGM mixed on certain voluminous and eccentric elements, Alexander Wang readapted them by using leather instead of using traditional fabric.

For Cruise 2017, Chanel took these trousers to Cuba, giving them an exotic air, while Maria Grazia Chiuri imagined an adapted version, longer and much more wearable for her spring-summer 2017 collection.
