Six soldiers suffered injuries after being run over by a car in a suburb from Paris

The driver fled the scene, is now sought by the authorities. Several emergency units rushed to the scene and the investigation is under way.

A large-scale operation is in progress to track down the driver and the BMW that he was driving.

Meanwhile, the mayor of the French suburb said he “has no doubt” this was well-thought and a deliberate attack.

“It is an odious aggression”, stated the Mayor of Levallois-Perret Patrick Balkany.

A federal operation is underway and hundreds of law enforcement officials are currently looking for the suspect who has fled from the crime scene.

The incident took place in a suburb of Paris, in Levallois-Perret.

The most recent information shows that none of the victims have suffered serious injuries and all of them are stable.

France is in a state of alert after the terrorist attacks that took place in Paris in November 2015 when 130 people were killed after several coordinated attacks, most of them in the Bataclan concert hall.
