Anne Hathaway, set to play ‘Barbie’, after Amy Schumer has decided to quit

The young mother will play the role of the iconic doll in the Hollywood production set to hit the theatres in 2018

The film will be directed by Alethea Jones and it will probably premiere in the summer of 2018.

According to some source inside the production team, the casting for the leading role was won by no other than, Hollywood’s favorite princess, Anne Hathaway

Yeah, we know that she’s not blonde, but that’s not going to be an issue.

However, we have to confess the choice was kind of shocking because most people were thinking a blonde bomb like Jenny McCarthy or Elizabeth Banks will get the part, but it wasn’t the case.

Anne Hathaway apparently killed it at the auditions and considering the movie is focused on a doll who is being vanished from Barbie Land because she is not perfect, then we suppose everything will turn out just fine.

Anne ends up expelled from Barbie’s perfect world because she is not perfect enough, she has an eccentric personality and her character is not able to adapt to the parameters of the society in which it lives.

Last December it was announced that comedian Amy Schumer will play the leading role in the film about Barbie but she had to abandon the project in March because her she has too much going on right now.

The premiere was scheduled for January 2018, but considering Amy’s decision to not be part of the movie anymore, the filming was postponed until they found the perfect replacement.

Anne Hathaway won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Les Misérables (2012), and she was recently spotted in Spanish director Nacho Vigalondo’s ‘Colossal’.
