Rolling Stones’ legendary guitarist revealed in an interview that he doesn’t consider chemotherapy an option and the reason is epic.

Apparently, Ronnie Wood refuses to receive the treatment because his hair will fall out.

During his last routine checkup, Ronnie Wood found out that he is suffering from lung cancer. He received the diagnosis in May and, since then, he went through five surgeries. During the last procedure, a part of a lung was removed.

The 69-year-old artist smoked for 50 years and decided to quit before his twins were born.

“You never know what can happen,” he said, adding that he already said “farewell” to his family members after receiving the diagnosis.

“People have to control themselves. I was very fortunate because I always had a guardian angel. Normally, I shouldn’t be here by now”, confessed the singer who it’s actually surprised by the fact that he didn’t become sick earlier considering his wild and eccentric lifestyle.

He also wrote on Twitter that he feels good and is ready to meet with fans during the tour set to begin next month.

Ronald David Wood, born June 1, 1947, in Hillingdon (England), is a guitarist and composer.

He began his career as a member of The Birds in 1964. He became known during his time at Faces, a band which also included Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck.

In 1975, he joined The Rolling Stones, at the invitation of his friend Keith Richards, after Mick Taylor’s departure from the band. The first album of the group with Wood as their new member was “Black and Blue” (1976).
