The North Korean Government has urged some of its most important ambassadors in Pyongyang, including China, Russia, and the United Nations, sources from inside have revealed.

“North Korea will, most likely, host what appears to be a meeting of foreign diplomacy chiefs after recalling ambassadors from major countries back to Pyongyang”, an official has confessed for Yonhap.

It’s not yet clear how many ambassadors are actually involved in this meeting, but the spokesman of Seoul’s Security Ministry Baik Tae-Hyun stated during a news conference the meeting might, in fact, represent a periodical reunion of ambassadors.

“North Korea organized the 43rd meeting of its ambassadors in July 2015”, the same spokesman has explained.

However, there are rumors this current meeting might be related to the country’s new military exercises and strategies, such as a new nuclear or ballistic test.

US President Donald Trump has stated on Friday that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un “will genuinely regret” any hostile action against a US territory or US allies, the warning being released a few hours after, he wrote on Twitter the US weapons are already “loaded and armed” to fight against any threat posed by North Korea.

Meanwhile, CIA Director Mike Pompeo has assured that an armed confrontation between the US and North Korea is not “imminent”.
