I think we all can agree that our world is a constant evolution and this fact is especially reflected by the roles women are currently playing in society.

Nowadays, being a woman is not exactly characterized by the words “kitchen” or “saucepan”.

Being a woman is no longer about this seductive silhouette strutting around a catwalk or taking the kids to school in a minivan.

Being a woman is Muna Jama’s firm refusal of not submitting to rules after she became the first Miss Universe contestant who refused to wear a bikini at the Miss Universe bathing suits round.

This week, the Muslim made history with the risk of losing her competitive status.

The young woman decided not to wear bikinis because her religion forbids it.

After some intense discussions among the organizers, they finally decided to let her compete, with the mention that she will most likely lose a few points.

She refused to compromise and became the first woman to wear a kaftan dress during the bathing suits round.
