Since the day Pokémon Go launched, there have been more than 300 offenses reported by the police.

The gamers are threatened by thieves, robbers and even pedophiles sometimes.

The authorities stated that such people may set up these special places where they would attract other players.

A mass brawl which involved around 30 people and a rare Pokémon was interrupted by the Surrey Police, while young players were caught trespassing the road or railway lines.

In North Wales there was an incident involving a man who called several children up to his house with the pretext that there were many Pokémon there.

The Manchester Police also exposed lures where robbers attracted players which they robbed when distracted by the game.

Another case was registered in South Yorkshire where a player was punched and his phone was stolen by three men while he was playing.

‘People should avoid potentially dangerous locations that could make you vulnerable to injury or become a victim of crime,’ declared the Lancashire Police.

Another spokesman said that they encourage people to be very aware of their surroundings and not play alone but alongside friends or family.

Pokémon Go is a free-to-play mobile game location-based augmented reality made by Niantic, developed and published by The Pokémon Company. It was launched in July 2016 for iOS and Android devices.

The game enables players to capture, fight, and train virtual creatures called Pokémon that appear on screen sizes as like in the real world. It is used for camera and GPS-compatible devices. The game is free-to-play, but it is possible to purchase in-app items that offer additional functions for the game. An optional Bluetooth wear is planned for a future release, Pokémon Go Plus, which will alert users when Pokémon are nearby.
