If you love ordering pizza from super-chain Domino’s, a new convenience may be on the way. The chain has teamed up with Flirtey to start the first drone deliver service in the world. The company plans on rolling out their drone service later in 2016 in New Zealand. If things go well, it will expand to more areas of the world.

Domino’s has been around since 1960 when it began in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It is considered to be the second-largest pizza chain restaurant next to Pizza Hut. The company has long been supplying affordable pizzas to customers in now in 81 different countries.

What makes them stand-out is their online order taking ability, online tracking for the customer to see where their products are and their easy point-and-click order website board. Not to mention that their pizza is well-liked by millions of loyal customers and it is delivered quickly to people’s front doors.

The company now earns an average $2.2-billion worldwide in revenue. No small task for a “small” pizza shop. What also makes it unique is how it stands out in delivery. Now, the company is teaming up with Flirtey, a drone-centric company that promises to deliver food via a no-human-needed delivery system.

The process is still in testing phases. The companies held a mock session of deliver on Thursday. Most likely if all goes well, you should see Domino’s drones flying through your area. Not only will it make delivery that much quicker, but more cost-effective without the need of drivers. The company will cut down on their costs for employees and customers will no longer need to tip the guy handing you the pizza. Though New Zealand is the target test market now, soon the rest of the world will be privy to robotic pizza delivery.
