French President Francois Hollande qualified Great Britain’s choice to exit the European Union as “irreversible” and it must be adopted until 2019.

The new British prime minister Theresa May required the European Union more time in order to prepare UK’s official exit from the politico-economic union.

“The British people decision to exit UE is not circumstantial. This decision is irreversible and we have to assume the consequences”, declared Hollande during a speech at the Elysee Palace.

According to the French state leader, Great Britain’s exit cannot be canceled because it might cause incertitude and instability among other state members.

“For France, everything must be concluded until 2019.”, added Hollande.

The state leader said that the UK will not be able to access the single market unless it accepts the four freedoms, all its regulation, and budgetary solidarity.

Mrs. May declared that she is not planning to trigger the notorious Article 50 of the Lisbon treaty until next year.

In this case, Great Britain will have a two-year breathing space in order to negotiate its way to exit from the union.

According to The Times, May wants to wait for the general election results from France and Germany before making a decision.

London’s Royal Court of Justice must make a decision until October if Theresa May can trigger the 50 Article and initiate the divorce procedure without a vote in the parliament.

Article 50 — the process by which countries begin negotiations to the European Union — without letting Parliament vote on it first.
