While several international humanitarian organizations are struggling to stop the Syrian civil war and to exterminate ISIS, the Syrian Ministry of Tourism is promoting the country claiming Syria is the perfect tourist destination.

Although the Arab Republic is the most dangerous place on the planet, the Tourism Ministry believes that by launching a new publicity campaign everyone will remember Syria’s breath-taking beauty.

The politician posted the most awkward promo video bragging about Syria’s beauty, showing tourists relaxing and having fun in the coastal town of Tartus.

Golden sand, turquoise water, and the clear blue sky… It’s almost like Syria is not a country destroyed by Islamic terrorists and tormented by bomb attacks at every single street corner.

He even completed the promo with the most stimulating soundtrack.

The most unappropriate footage shows people sunbathing and playing in the clear waters of the Mediterranean.

It even displays people jet-skiing with crowds filling up sun loungers in the background.

The coastal town is controlled by the Assad government and located along the Mediterranean Sea.

Earlier this year, Tartus was nearly destroyed by a series of bomb attacks claimed by ISIS.

The coastal town was the largest port in Syria.

Before the civil war, for most Syrians, Tartus represented the place to be during summer.

According to Daily Mail, the ministry’s official Facebook insists Syria has undergone a 30 per cent increase in tourism levels – but realistically they might be hard pressed to find eager holidaymakers wishing they were there.
