The fidget spinner is, by far, the toy of the moment, especially if you search the word on the internet.

Invaded by strange patterns, tutorials, and news about the revolutionary gadget, the spinner is taking over the world.

It seems that the fidget spinner, a toy that is said to have been created as an anti-stress object and used to help treat children with ADHD, made its “debut” in ancient times.

The editor from Wired Arielle Pardes posted on Twitter a photo of an artifact described as “a toy with spinning heads”.

The object discovered in the Shu-Shin Temple area of ancient Iraq would be from 2000-1800 before our time.

The “ancient” fidget spinner is displayed the Mesopotamian gallery from the Oriental Institute of Chicago.

“When the details regarding the rotating toy were published for the first time in 1932, the archaeologists realized the object is unique and, according to them, it was used by our ancestors to make astrological predictions. The three heads symbolize: a bull, an ibex, and a lion”, stated a spokesperson for the museum.

For those of you who may not know (you must’ve been living under a rock), this fidget spinner is an object used both by children and adults to relieve stress.
