The Obamas signed book deal with Penguin Random House

The former first couple has serious plans this year. After many publishing companies fought to get a deal with them, they finally have one.

They signed the deal with Penguin Random House. They sold their rights to this firm. Apparently, the sum is over sixty million dollars.

We are going to see books coming from both of them.

Other presidents had book deals before, but the sum the Obamas got is huge in comparison. For example, Bill Clinton had a deal of 15 million dollars. George W. Bush got even less, only 7 million dollars.

The CEO of the publishing company released a statement following their deal. They are beyond honored to have a partnership with the couple.

The Obamas changed the world with their actions and powerful words and their leadership. They are convinced that joining forces with their company will give the best results.

In the statement, they reassured that they will do anything possible to give the books publishing events all over the globe.

Barack Obama revealed before his huge passion for books and had always encouraged his two daughters to read. Until now, he already released some books throughout his career. His first book was launched in ’95, the following ones came in 2004 and 2006 respectively. Seven years ago, he also launched a book for children.

In spite of his passion, the years in charge made him a very busy person. He didn’t have time to write and read like he used to.
