Pharrell Williams and his collaboration and passion for Chanel have been taken a step further. The artist starts in the French brand’s latest campaign for handbags.
This is definitely a historic moment for the brand, as Pharrrell is the very first man to star in a campaign for handbags.
The 43-year-old is the model for the Gabrielle bag.
Pharrell is definitely the house’s latest muse. For a man, this happens very rarely at Chanel. He walked their runways, starred in various ad campaigns and he is even friends with Karl Lagerfeld. At the Oscars, the artist even dressed entirely like the German designer.
In a recent interview, Lagerfeld declared that this bag can be worn by anyone, even by a man. So, there is no other better choice than Pharrell to promote this item.
The singer has experimented with women items before and has openly talked about his passion for such items. He is not afraid to rock items that are created for females.
Pharrell even wore the infamous jewelries created by Chanel, that are specific to the German designer.
The singer declared that he tries to defeat the usual perception that a certain item was created only for women. He tries to see things differently and experiment and see how he can include such an item in his outfit.
Williams even wears this purse in real life. He was really excited about it at first and would just carry it around because it looks cool. Now, he included it into his everyday life and wears it all over the place and keeps his must-have items in it.
To add even more coolness, the singer chose one made of crocodile leather.
The campaign debuts next month, on the third. Other three major celebs, Karl Lagerfeld’s latest muses, star along Pharrell.
