These ‘Puffers’ are created by NASA with the purpose of searching for alien life in Europe

NASA came up with little devices that are going to be used for alien research in Europe and for Mars expeditions. The robots are entitled Puffers, or by their official name, Pop-Up Flat Folding Explorer Robots.

Their design and small size enable them to entry any location and ride in every environment.

NASA wanted to come with a device that will be able to enter areas that most robots, that are larger, cannot. These little devices not only that have many purposes, but are extremely cute.

In Europe, the Puffers will be able to reach even the most chaotic fields, such as ice ones. On the red planet, they will investigate lava and caves.

These robots are even able to fold up and they can reach the size of a smartphone.

Even though they look small and fragile, these bad boys are actually really hardy. NASA released a video to show how their newest device performs on the field.

They can be dropped from three meters above the ground and still work, they can climb on a hill of ice and even walk across a rocky area. When the area becomes slippery, they adjust their grip.

The team from NASA worked on these little Puffers for almost eighteen months. Their hard work definitely paid off. These devices will enable scientists to further come up with even smaller robots to reach even more various areas.

Puffers will reach Mars later this year, where they will be properly tested.
