Tesla Boasts Of The World’s Fastest Production Car

At a news conference held on Tuesday, Tesla Motors Chief Executive Elon Musk announced that a few tenths of a second have been shaved off the company’s fastest car.

According to musk, the ludicrously equipped Tesla Model S P100D which costs about $135,000 will need only 2.5 seconds to move from 0 to 60 miles per hour. That jump has already been achieved at 2.8 seconds by the current model.

According to Tesla, Existing owners of P90D Ludicrous can upgrade to a 100-Kiollowatt-hour battery pack for $20,000. This is because, it will have to recycle their already used 90-KWh batteries, however, those customers who are yet to receive the P90D Ludicrous they ordered for, can upgrade to a 100-KWh pack for $10,000.

Musk said Tesla will receive improved cash flow from the car that has been selling in relatively low volumes. Tesla now claims that the electric car has risen to become the world’s fastest production car.

From a standing top, electric motors are popularly known to have a high torque and rapid acceleration. An improvement in the battery’s energy density boosted the speed and range in part. The blazing-fast Ludicrous mode enhanced with a zero-to-60 time of 2.8 seconds is part of the improvements announced by Tesla for its Model S battery. However, little attention has been given to this, which is a common feature with technical details.

At the time, reporters were informed by Musk himself that the recent improvements were as a “result of improved cell chemistry” in the anode which was responsible for the discharge of electrons in the battery.

If engineers can only make silicon – a material that promises greater efficiency in the making of batteries – work, the use of graphite as a material for choice for anodes will be reconsidered.
