Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth prepared a really nice surprise for children’s Rady Hospital in San Diego, on Thursday.

Miley’s non-profit organization, ‘The Happy Hippie Foundation’, brought some big smiles on children’s faces as the two stars spend some quality time talking to them.

The organization supports homeless youth and other social cases.

The singer has started making charity acts when she was only 17 years, when she organized an online auction to sell her wardrobe for charity, as femalefirst.co.uk informed at that time.

‘For me, it’s a blessing to be able to go up on stage and to inspire people with my music every day. And it’s equally important to get involved in charitable acts’, said Miley back then.

The purpose of that call, held in late August 2011, was to spur all young people to get involved in the community. The artist believed that this approach is an effective way to demonstrate that any charity can begin at home.

‘You do not have to leave home and travel for 30 hours… you do not have to donate a billion dollars. It’s not about how much or how far, it is about looking at your neighbors and realizing in what way you can help them’, the singer added.

The beginning of Miley’s career was marked by minor roles, the first being at the age of eight, when little Miley appeared in three episodes of her father’s television series ‘Doc’. The real debut occurred in 2003, when she played little Ruthie in Tim Burton’s ‘Big Fish’.

The role that propelled her to the heights of glory was ‘Hannah Montana’, produced by Disney Channel.

According to Disney’s president, Miley was chosen for her energetic performance and was seen as a person ‘who enjoys and takes advantage of every minute of her life’, as noted at the time USA Today.
