The photographs, that appeared in 2008, are the proof that even in this super modern world, there are people that live in isolated communities.

In the Amazonian rainforest there is an indigenous tribe that is the living proof of people living in isolation from the civilization.

This year, new images of what experts say is the same tribe, have appeared. The photographs show new aspects of their life and culture.

Ricardo Stuckert, a Brazilian photographer, is the one that took the pictures. He was in a helicopter as he was doing a research trip in Acre, a state located in the west side of Brazil, that is close to the border with Peru.

National Geographic is the one that published the photos for the first time. The pictures show people of the tribe up close, revealing their body paints, different and unique hairstyles and weapons.

Another that took part of the research, José Carlos Meirelles, told National Geographic, that the tribe isn’t located in the same place it was back in 2008. The likeliness of it being the same group is high. The tribe is probably nomadic and about every four years, it migrates.

The pictures show the places they live in too. Maloca, as it is known, is a traditional thatched house. The weapons they use are shown as well. Some members were aiming their weapons at the helicopter. They used a bow or an arrow.

The researchers revealed that the members were very curious and  “more inquisitive than fearful.”

The members of the tribe seem healthy. There is a concern about illegal miners and loggers that could end up on their territory.

The place where they live is protected, but at the border with Peru, illegal activities are very common.
