The Russian president declared that on Thursday night ceasefire will begin. Both Moscow and Ankara will serve as guarantors.

The agreement is available for the whole country.

The truce is set to begin this Thursday night and will be followed by talks with the Syrian government of the president, Bashar al-Assad. The government will discuss with opposition from Astana, the Kazakh capital.

Putin said the agreements are very fragile now and need special attention so that they can be kept and developed in the future. This agreement is the result of hard work the Moscow’s and Ankara’s ministries have made.

The president hopes that peace will be worked on. He asks for the support of the other countries involved as well as the support of the Syrian government and the opposition.

The agreement does not include the Islamic State of Iraq nor the Levant group or  Jabhat Fateh al-Sham.

There are about 62,000 opposition fighters across Syria, says the Russian defense minister. The Russian military has collaborated with the Turkish one to monitor Syria.

Turkish agrees with the statement and is as well, asking for the support of the other countries involved in the Syrian problem.

Russia, Turkey, and Iran signed a trilateral agreement. There are three documents in total. The first one is about the agreement between the Syrian government and the opposition, the second one is about the measures created for the control of the ceasefire, while the third one refers to what needs to be made so that peace talks will begin.

There aren’t any other details about the agreement and it is not known who has been involved in the negotiation process from the opposition.
