Tennis legend Serena Williams said ‘I do’

Williams announced her engagement with the Reddit co-founder, in a rather poetic manner: “With one knee on the ground, he uttered four words, and I answered ‘yes’."”

“I got home a little late. Someone had prepared a bag and we expect a carriage. Destination: Rome … back to where our stars collision first,” wrote the famous tennis player.

According to DPA, the Internet mogul was the one who popped the question to Serena Williams.

The romantic scene occurred at the same table where the two stood when they met.

The future groom posted on social media a drawing in which he stays in one knee, with the caption: “She said ‘yes.”

The official wedding date has not been announced yet.

At the age of 35, Serena Williams has won 71 WTA titles, including 22 Grand Slam at Wimbledon, the last in summer.

The current world number two has accumulated over 81 million dollars in earnings since its debut in the tennis world circuit in 1997.

Serena was dethroned from the first position by Angelique Kerber in September 2016 after occupying this position for 186 consecutive weeks.

At the age of 33, Ohanian is the general manager of Reddit and launched several Internet platforms.

According to DPA, the two started their relationship in 2015 but were discreet in what concerns their romance.
