A 6 magnitude earthquake hit the North Korean coast in the Sea of Japan

According to Reuters, shortly after the situation stabilized, the experts took into consideration the possibility the natural phenomenon could’ve been triggered by a new nuclear test.

However, shortly after the hypothesis appeared in the international the Pentagon rushed to deny the rumor.

The earthquake produced 559 kilometers away from Kim Jong-Un’s state, in the Sea of Japan

Pentagon spokesperson Jamie Davis stated the registered indicators show that the earthquake was 100% not caused by a nuclear test because it occurred way too far from the coast.

The earthquake occurred 186 kilometers away from the Chongjin port, located in the northern part of the North Korea.

Unlike Japan, earthquakes are a rarity in North Korea.
