The North Korean regime launched a new threat towards the United States on Tuesday, swearing to launch a nuclear attack in the “heart” of the country if Washington tries to eliminate the Pyongyang regime.

“If the United States dares to even show the most discreet sign of an attempt to eliminate our leadership, then we will launch a merciless assault in the heart of the country with our powerful, sharp and strengthened nuclear hammer”, stated one of North Korea’s Foreign Ministry spokesman for the Foreign Ministry in Pyongyang for Yonhap.

The threat is an indirect response to CIA director Mike Pompeo’s statements, which suggested a potential elimination of the North Korean regime.

Pompeo said last week that the most important thing for Americans is “separating the regime from the nuclear power and from those who may have nuclear intentions.”

Meanwhile, a North Korean diplomat said that such remarks surpassed the limit, and now “the ultimate goal of Trump’s administration is to change the regime.

“If the supreme dignity of North Korea is threatened, then we are prepared to annihilate those countries directly or indirectly involved by mobilizing various measures, including the nuclear ones”, added the North Korean spokesman.

The North Korean regime tested two nuclear bombs and numerous ballistic missiles in the last year and managed to launch the first inter-continental ballistic missile on July 4.
