A 79-year-old Belgian grandmother is being investigated after she was tracked by the radar with a speed of 238 kilometers per hour at the wheel or her brand new Porsche Boxter GTS.

Shocked by the driver’s age, the Namur Court judge wanted to find out if the elder was, indeed, the driver from the night between June 18 and June 19, 2016.

To his surprise, the Belgian 79-year-old has confirmed the allegation.

The woman explained that she decided to take a ride in order to “empty her mind” because she couldn’t sleep.

She added that she did not realize the speed mark was pointing more than 200 kilometers per hour, reports the Belgian press.

A Porsche Boxter GTS has a 330 horsepower engine and is capable of reaching 100 km / h in just five seconds.

Without being included in Belgian police databases, the driver received a punishment considered by the national press to be rather indulgent considering the seriousness of the offense: a fine of 4.000 euros and suspension of the car license for a period of three months.
