Fergie and Josh Duhamel announced their separation via a press release, informs Paper magazine.

The apparently super solid pair, who started dating 13 years ago separates in friendly terms because they want to protect their four-year-old Axl.

“With all the love and respect in the world, we decided to break up early this year. In order to give our family a better opportunity to recover, we wanted to keep this issue private before making it public. We are and will always be united by supporting each other and our family”, stated the former power couple.

The “divorce” news comes a week after a tabloid released this rumor that mainly suggested Fergie is expecting the couple’s baby No.2.

Moreover, in January, in the last picture they have posted as a family, Fergie, Josh and Axl looked like this super tight and happy family.

The singer is currently in Rio, where she started promoting her new album “Double Duchess”.

Meanwhile, her estranged husband was spotted with little Axl in Los Angeles, without wearing his wedding ring.

Fergie and Josh got married in 2007, after four years of dating.

Shortly after their wedding in Malibu, Fergie candidly confirmed during an interview that she is bisexual and enjoys “having fun with women”.
