A New York judge has decided to reject the bail application of the most arrogant billionaire: Martin Shkreli, a.k.a the “pharma bro”.

The judge revealed its final decision after a series of reprehensible gestures conducted by the billionaire, especially his decision of paying up $5.000 to purchase one of Hillary Clinton’s strands of hair.

Martin Shkreli – known as “the most hated person in the United States” after he caused a massive price explosion for a drug used by HIV patients in 2015 – was found guilty of tax fraud and other charges, earlier in August, following a trial in Brooklyn.

But he was released after paying a bail of five million dollars until the final sentence was established by judges.

“The bail was revoked, and he was sent to prison,” a spokesman for the Brooklyn federal prosecutor confirmed for AFP on Wednesday.

Thus, this thirty-year-old, passionate about social networking and hip-hop, will wait in prison for the conviction set to be pronounced on January 16, 2018.

In a letter that Shkreli addressed to the judge, he acknowledges that he has shown a “bad judgment” and “a bad humor” in a message posted on Facebook earlier in September.

Meanwhile, he deleted the Facebook post, in which he was offering $5,000 to the person capable of obtaining the strand of hair.
